The Big Red Jeep Had a Big Red Wreck
Oh no -- the big red jeep had a bit of a wreck recently! No one was injured and
no one was even in the jeep. Some lowlife creep hit the front end of the jeep
when it was in a parking lot -- somewhere. I didn't notice it at first! I took
it in for some brake work and asked the mechanic about it and he said -- "hey
lady -- it was hit - probably by some big truck or something!" Poor, poor jeep!
The front grill and passenger side front light were all broken and something
inside too - obviously, I have a lot of knowledge about vehicles! :)
Luckily, I still have my collision insurance for it and insurance did agree that
it could be repaired and I could just pay the $1,000 deductible. So, it now
feels like a new Big Red Jeep -- well, new with almost 125,000 miles. It's a
2005 and I've had it since 2005, though I didn't buy it new. I'm not sure why
Jeep discontinued the Liberty style as I think it is the best looking jeep
they've ever had and it is the best vehicle we've had for driving in the snow.
I'm now being very careful where I park! Last week I even took a photo of a big
truck that was near the jeep just in case!!
Here it is . . . the new and improved Big Red Jeep!

First Day of Her Fabulous Junior Year
And all of sudden . . .
she's a junior in high school!
she's a junior in high school!
She was up early today even though school had a late start
and off on her own in the big red jeep!
Bummer that someone was in her assigned parking spot
this morning, but she found an empty one.
wasn't she just starting first grade????
We have tagged a word of the day/year for
We have tagged a word of the day/year for
junior year and it is FABULOUS!
If we say it, think it and believe it, it will happen.
Yes, finally she was assigned an upper locker.
That made her so happy!
She took a bunch of snacks today as she thinks
she and Gracie may be starving at either the beginning or
end of the day and need some nourishment! :)
She's planning to check our some clubs and try new things
this year!
I just love her so and hope she has the best year ever!

Another Milestone - Driving!!
We hit another milestone recently!
Maddie got her driver's license and is driving back
and forth to school . . .
all by herself!!

| Her first car - handed down from her brothers. |
Oh my word - that first day she left home to
drive to school, I wanted to jump in the car
and follow her to make sure she got there ok.
Actually, I wanted Mr. Tennis to drive in front of her
and me behind her to provide a somewhat
protective bubble of safety!
Every day, I say a prayer to keep her safe as she drives away.
Every day, I say a prayer to keep her safe as she drives away.
After school on that first day (well, every day to tell the truth),
I wait outside in front of the house to see her driving
up our street.
The first day it seemed that her
drive home was taking longer than I thought it would.
I was checking my watch and iPhone for any messages and
then I saw the Big Red Jeep headed down our street.
She had stopped at Scooter's to buy a celebratory Frap! :)

| 2015 Jeep Patriot |
Yes, she is driving the Big Red Jeep (we love that car)
and I'm driving a new/used Jeep Patriot.
Love the Jeep brand. I tried a few others,
but felt most comfortable in a jeep!
She's doing great!
Happy Driving!
