Cboo's Sweet Ride

Oh no -- I've been out-voted by the guys in the family! Cboo (son #2, a senior in college) has been lobbying for some type of motor scooter for quite some time. With the price of gas so high, his arguments have evidently swayed his Dad to his side. So, that is Cboo with his sweet new ride. It gets 100 miles per gallon! Do you believe that??? And it holds 3 gallons of gasoline. I don't even want to think about how many mpg the SUV he was driving gets or how much it takes to fill that tank!! Anyway, he's vowed to take a class, get his motorcycle license and restrict his driving to daytime hours. When they were talking about it, I thought they meant one of those cute little motorized bicycles (duh me -- like a 20-yr old would ride a motorized bike???) not something this big!! Keep your fingers crossed for safe riding.

Looks like they pleaded a good case......I have to say motorcycles scare me to death.....

I had dated a guy that rode one and would never get on it...I think it is a control thing....or more like a lack of control!

Fingers are crossed for you!

With the price of gas, I think we should all get one. Can you fit two car seats on the back? Ha ha! Cute pictures of Connor and his new ride!

Hi Janet!

We were away and I am a little behind on commenting....and you've been busy!! :-)

First...the bike...well, I am sure your son will be safety conscious...and you can't beat it for gas mileage!

The manicure/pedicure looks like such a fun girl time thing to do! I have never had a professional pedicure (really!) because I can't stand people touching my feet (except for Jim who I have occasionally conned into rubbing them a time or two! :-)). I really need to get over that and get one...sadly I am not so great at painting the toes....but I figure no one gets close enough to see (or so I hope!)

I am glad you are finally having some nice weather and that Maddy is enjoying herself...these are big steps...and so blog worthy! I love to hear about them!

Best wishes for sunny skies!

Kate

100MPG!!! Wow, that's awesome, and the savings will probably pay for the bike itself. I know how you feel about the danger factor though, as a mom there is no way to get past that other than to trust your son to make the right decisions. My younger brother rode a motorcycle for years and came away completely unscathed.

100 miles a gallon! Wow, I can see why he would want one. I like the rules that you gave him too. I'm sure he will abide by them and be as safe as he can.

As scary as I find motorcycles, I can certainly see the appeal for young men. Your son really does look adorable on that bike. I have been considering one for my husband, but haven't given in yet.
