Missing --- Two Front Teeth!

Maddy lost her top front tooth on her birthday over a month ago. The other top tooth became progressively looser and looser. She didn't want me to give it a pull and twist (like I did with the other one), but that tooth was starting to drive me crazy. She wiggled it constantly -- sometimes with her fingers and often with her tongue. Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle. It looked all crooked and like it would fall out at any moment and yet, it hung in there until just last Thursday. Finally, it was so loose that she gave it a little pull herself and out it came. This time the tooth fairy did visit on the correct night and didn't use the excuse that it was too cold out for flying. Her smile looks so different without those teeth. I'm sure it will change again once her new permanent teeth come in. And I feel kind of bad . . . I don't remember the boys losing their front teeth at all. Good thing I have this blog, so I can remember these important milestones. Sorry boys -- I'm sure you were both quite adorable too when you lost your front teeth too! :)

Maddy's dentist also has said that it appears she is going to be missing some permanent teeth. I think there are at least two on the bottom that simply do not exist. Am hoping that her other permanent teeth are large enough to take up that space. Hmmm, I foresee a bit of dental work in our future. No matter, that smile is one in a million in my book!

Beautiful smile!! My 5 year old is desperate to lose a tooth. She has actually tried to knock one out before. We quickly put a stop to that!!

I love her toothless smile! Get lots of pictures of it. They look so much older all of a sudden when those big front teeth grow in!

Yes- one in a million! Oh so cute Ms. Maddy without her two front teeth. How's her whistle?

I am right there with you- I really have to scrapbook or journal everything- or I will forget- even seemingly memorable things. Maybe you have photos of the boys- I love going through our older photos!
Maddy's cuteness was saved and captured in these photos- for sure.

She is just too cute without those teeth. Miss Grace would love to lose a tooth and at age 6.5 still hasn't, so we are hoping it will happen sometime in the near future.

Maddy has the cutest "toothless" smile. She is certainly keeping the tooth fairy busy at your house! Between Maddy and Carson, Dr. Reed has some good job security!

Oh...so cute!!! It IS crazy how quickly things escape our memories isn't it??

My mom is a dental hygienist and she has mentioned Lia's "bite" several times...so I think we are going to be on a first name basis with the orthodontist as well!!

Happy almost weekend!!

Oh, what a cutie...I love it when those two teeth are missing!!!
Magnolia has two baby teeth on bottom that never came in...makes me wonder if the permanant ones will not come in as well. Yes, lots of dental work and dental bills. :)
