On Friday evening, Maddy and I along with her friend Mei and Mei's Mom went to see an incredible performance put on by the Chinese National Acrobats! It was fabulous and a great way to celebrate Chinese New Year!! Of course, Maddy had already seen a portion of the performance earlier that day when her school went on a field trip. Yep -- their only field trip of the year and it's to the same show that I had bought tickets to about six months ago! No matter -- it was really such an amazing show! WOW!!! The girls were so excited and so proud to be from China! If you get a chance to see the show -- do it -- you will not be sorry! They performed the bicycle routine above and it was mind-boggling how they managed it all on one bicycle!

I am sooo jealous! The CNA are coming to Houston next month (through the Society of Performing Arts) - I'd love to go . . .
Love that photo . . .share some more!!
Maddie has the most gorgeous little toothless smile!! I luv it!
Oh Jan...how wonderful for you to take in this splendor with you sweet girl!!! It looks fabulous!!!
We had a chance to see a troupe from Lia's province perform in my parent's small town...and I think my blood pressure was high with my anxiety in watching them perform...and I may have actually been heckling them with things like, "Wear a helmut!" and "Slow down!" etc. I don't know how they do it!!
I love Maddy's dress...can you share the specifics??
Hope you had a great weekend!

What a treat to be able to see this show with Maddie! It looks similar to what we saw in Beijing - it would be nice to actually be awake for the show (I fell asleep in Beijing).
Looks like fun!
I love Maddie's smile! Those missing teeth are priceless.

Looks like you had lots of fun. Would love to see them too sometime, I know they come to Chicago.
Love the pics Jan.
Hope your week is a great one!
I have been doing Internet searches for Chinese Acrobat shows since returning from China. Do you know if this group has a web site? I would LOVE to take the girls. We saw this bike performance in Beijing and was amazed at this and some of the other things they could do. I'm glad to hear you were able to go and enjoy the show. (And Maddie twice!!)
Awesome picture! Mason also got to see them perform on Friday as well with a field trip from school. He loved it. Our neighbor boy wants one of their outfits to dress up in I thought that was too funny!
Oh aren't the Chinese shows fabulous! They do the most incredible acrobats and perform eloquent dancing.
I must go next year!
Looks like the girls enjoyed this.
Have a wonderful day.
