A Work In Progress

I mentioned a while back that Maddy was getting some new bedroom furniture. It has arrived and is so lovely!! Her room is fairly small and we had to move everything out to get the new bed, a dresser with FIVE drawers and night table set up. You would not believe the stuff that resurfaced in the clearing out of her "little" room. Whoa!! Who knew that she could fit so much stuff in that tiny room!!

I'm no decorator, so it will take a while for the room to be totally finished, but here are a few photos before it gets too cluttered up with the many stuffed animals that she dearly loves and cannot bear to part with! We need some new curtains and some wall decorations, but I don't mind if it takes a while for us to decide.

This was my rocking chair from when I was a little girl -- isn't it sweet! What do you think -- should I paint it white? I remember learning to read and sitting in this chair reading to my dolls!

At first, Maddy said she couldn't sleep in her new bed because her room was too neat and none of the other bedrooms looked so neat and tidy!! I'm afraid that is the truth! Decluttering starts soon!

These favored few get to rest on the bed. Not to worry, they will be joined by many others soon, I'm sure!

Love it... although I DO believe you are missing a panda. Now why on earth would I be thinking that? Hmm...

Love the furniture. I recognize the turtle and monkey on the bed - does Maddie love build-a-bear?

Good luck with decluttering. I do it, but it comes back so fast!

Precious!!! I love getting new furniture and I LOVE your rocking chair. I personally would not paint it...I would keep it just as it is. So sweet!

It looks great, and I love that you have the rocking chair from when you were a kid in her room. That is so special. I would be tempted to paint it, but I vote to keep it as-is - I'm sure there are many memories from it being just the way it is.

I love, love, love Maddy's new bedroom furniture. I am also excited to get her hand-me-down headboard for Kamree!

I vote to paint the rocking chair but you know how much I love everything to match perfectly!

Enjoy the rest of your decorating!

Adorable. Maddy is going to love her new special place. The bedding is lovely. And lil miss Maddy sounds like my Gracie with all of her stuffed animals. Sometimes I can't even see her in her bed amounst all her friends!
Hugs and good luck with your decluttering. We have been working on that to seel our place- and BOY is it tough.

so pretty! I don't think you should paint the chair. If you paint it do a colour like pink or green!
