Getting Closer or Ducks All in a Row!

Yesterday, Miss Maddy and I went to a baby shower for Baby Boo -- Philip and Catherine's baby - expected mid-February. It was so sweet! Catherine's sister and sisters-in-law did a fabulous job! The food was yummy, the company outstanding and little Baby Boo received lots of cool gifts. Since we don't know if it will be a baby boy or baby girl, Maddy and I went with a "duck" theme for the most part! We couldn't resist the cute little onesie Catherine is holding that says - "Sleeping Baby - Wake Me at Your Own Risk!"

For once this winter, the weather cooperated and there was no new snow or ice, just a lot of fog, but fog we can manage! It was a fun way to spend the afternoon and we loved being a part of it! Maddy and Catherine's niece played together very sweetly the whole time. It's getting so close to baby time and soon their adorable bundle of joy will be here to meet us! To say we are a tad bit excited is an understatement!

Don't you love those little socks and the little-bitty hat!

I wasn't sure if they still had little gowns for babies like when my kids were babies. . . but, yes they do!

It looks like you had a great time showering Baby Boo with some fabulous things! I especially love those sleep sacks! Those are the best!

I bet you are counting down the days. Do you have a name yet -- Mimi or Nana?! You are way too young to be "Grandma!" HA HA!

Darling little baby gifts! Love those ducks and the gowns. I always thought they were the best with infants - so easy to change diapers ;).

I can imagine the excitement is growing as the big day gets closer. I loved those sleep sacks. My husband thought they were the best for changing diapers and getting the baby dressed.

Ok, how in the world did I miss that you were about to be a grandmother??? That is SO exciting, Jan! Bless your heart, I know you guys are over the moon. I love that they don't know the gender of the baby...I think that is so fun. Catherine is a beautiful mommy-to-be and the duck themed gifts are sooooo sweet!

Congrats Grammy! (Or will you be grandma? or nannie?) I can't believe Maddy will be an aunt soon. What an exciting time for your family.

Hey Janet, Congratulations! I love seeing all of the preparations. I am so excited for my son and his wife to make me a grammy someday... though it may be awhile. You must be out of your head with anticipation. I've heard that the feelings you have when you hold a new grandchild are overwhelming. I can't wait to see Maddy as a cutie-pie aunt. And Catherine is lovely.
