Sweet Girl

My sweet little tender-hearted girl!

Swimming lessons -- week 2 -- are going . . . swimmingly, but still make her a little nervous. She is really doing great and learning so much in such a short amount of time. But, every day, before her lesson, she says that her tummy hurts. I told her that mine used to do same thing before my swimming lessons and that seems to make her feel a bit better. Wish that she really loved it and would sign up for another two-week session!

And she's a little worried about and missing Mr. Tennis -- who is attending a horsey camp!

Yes, don't laugh -- it's some horse camp so he can learn to ride his stinky old horse better (bet you can't guess how I feel about the horse, eh?). Fingers crossed that he doesn't fall off and break his hip, leg or head. When Maddy learned he would be gone a few days, she cried and cried about how much she would miss him! Her little face looked so sad and then tears just started flowing. We're counting down the days and trying to think of things to keep her busy and happy -- like collecting the latest McD's happy meal Pokemon toys! Yep, I'm not above fast food to get her feeling better!

Oh, she is just SUCH a pretty young lady!! Poor Maddy would be a wreck if her daddy traveled like our daddy does. My kids are both unfazed by his absence. It's kind of sad. :(

Love the picture of Maddy! That is so sweet that she is missing her daddy. A little McD therapy can fix anything!

I am so glad I came across your blog. Your profile sounds just like my life. Great pics, did you take them? They look so professional. My daughter, Lian, gets so upset when her Daddy works out of town. He has had to do so alot lately and she is like Maddy. Nice to meet you-Joy

What a beautiful pic of your sweet girl!!! Love the scarf she's wearing.

I can relate, used to get tummy aches too as a little one before things like swimming lessons, or even school. Hope Mr. Tennis does okay at horse camp.

Oh sweet Maddy!! I feel so bad for her..... I could just imagine her crying when I read your words. It is tough on them when Mommy or Daddy has to travel...... you know we just went through that here. It does go by quickly and the Happy Meal toys sounds like a perfect treat to help ease the pain.

Hope Mr. Tennis has fun at Horsey Camp!

BEAUTIFUL photo of your precious girl! I do love that scarf.....what a great color:)

xoxo,

Lisa

An adorable child. You should feel very blessed she loves and cares for her dad so much. Most of the kids I have seen show little respect for their parents.
