Going on a Pumpkin Hunt!

In between the usual weekend chores of laundry, grocery-shopping, cheer class and cheering on the Huskers (guess we didn't cheer nearly enough), Maddy and I made our way out to our nearby pumpkin patch.
Can I just say that I love Nebraska in the fall!

It was a perfect day with the sun shining and temps cool in the mornings, but warming up nicely plus low humidity!!!  The trees are turning color and it is truly the best time of the year.  Such a lovely day out and instead of joining the hordes there at 1 PM, we didn't make it until around 4 PM.  Perfecto plan as it was not nearly as crowded and we could enjoy the sights without feeling rushed.

Of course, we had to ride the little train, pose with a friendly (?) skeleton,

Goof off with a scary monster,

Take the hayrack ride out through the spooky forest and . . .
hunt for a pumpkin in the pumpkin patch!

Guess who rode in our hayrack ride along with us -- a lovely golden retriever jumped on at the last minute.  When we arrived at the patch, he sauntered off to find his own pumpkin -- so sweet.   Maddy was so curious as to who he belonged to because he did not even have a collar on AND he acted like he owned the place.  Well, he does own the place -- rather his owners do!

We had such a fun time even though Mr. Tennis was out of town and missed it.
Not to worry, Miss Maddy has a return trip planned for him too!

LOVE the pics! And our parallel lives... WE went to the pumpkin patch, AND had a dog follow us around, AND cheered on the Huskers (but not loudly enough!), AND have a daddy out of town, AND had beautiful fall weather. :) Only wish we lived there so we could hang with you guys.

What a fun weekend...
Maddy is adorable in all of these!
Looking forward to going to a local pumpkin patch here soon too.

To me it seems like the trees are changing color a little early, but I may be mistaken. Love Fall, just not what comes afterward.

Looks like the perfect setting for a fall photo-shoot. What a fun pumpkin patch. Maddy looks adorable. When I took the girls, Chris was gone too. What's the deal with out of town daddies and pumpkin patches?

Happy October!

It looks like you had loads of fun at Roca Berry. Carson and Kamree went today and the puppy rode with them too. That same puppy ate the plate of nachos that I dropped on the ground last year due to the bees swarming around me! HA HA!

Gorgeous shots!! Nebraska really does have to be beautiful in the fall! Maddie is so precious, such a cutie pie! Like her skeleton...we are making one as i write this for homeschool...but she is afraid of it! She is petrified of all the scary Halloween things in all the stores...I dont know what Im going to do..We need a giant tooth to make her outfit complete..haha/..

Sorry about your Huskers!! Darn that Big 10 football :)

Looks like the weather was amazingly perfect though and Maddy still looks good in her team colors!
