Favorite Photo Friday

I love, love, love my hydrangea plant! I'm the only one in the whole block neighborhood with the purple blooms -- ain't I special? :)    It bloomed more than ever this year,  and it was so nice to see it holding on through some cold temps recently.  However, the lows in the 20's lately have done it in now.  I'm not much of a gardner (mowing is more my speed), but I do tend to my hydrangea!!   It was one of my Mom's favorite flowers too.

Your hydrangea is a lovely shade. I'm not much of a gardener either. I really enjoy our lawn mower. It's great for drowning out kids for a good 45 minutes.

Happy Friday!

Oh my goodness, that is beautiful! Those flowers make me smile every time. I love how you say you tend to it and then mention your mom. That made me smile. :)

Pretty, pretty...love the purple. I'm a little bit envious. Mine are all white or pale green. How sweet that they remind you of your mom, peonies remind me of my MIL. :)

Have a great weekend Janet!!

Hydrangeas are one of my favorite flowers too. I found out recently that the same plant can change colours depending on the soil, so if I replanted yours in garden it could turn into a different colour. I used to have a blue shrub of hydrangeas - miss them dearly.

Gorgeous Janet. Those are one of my favorite flowers too. They don't grown where we live. Way too hot for their delicate blooms. My aunt that lives in the NE has them growing all around her home. I bet you always look forward to seeing the first bloom of the season each year.
