A Fall Evening at the Park

Whew -- after that last post, I needed to get some happier pictures up of my little princess! Suddenly, it seems like it is immediately dark outside after dinner! Are you also noticing how short the daylight hours are these days? We went to a beautiful park recently around 6:30 PM. I thought there would be plenty of light left for some photos. Boy, was I off --it got dark so fast!! But, we still were able to get a few photos of our sweet girl playing. I love her little sweater-knit poncho, don't you!

Who doesn't love a tire swing!! We need one of these in our yard!

Riding a bouncy elephant -- too bad I didn't get the elephant in the shot.

Even though it was getting dark, leaving the park was not a popular idea, but
. . . the promise of ice cream put the smile back on her face!

Love these NOW Maddy pictures. She is gorgeous. That last shot capturing her smile is beautiful.

And yes- the early evening darkness is here. Makes bedtime easier to swallow for my little ones. I do like the fall nights, but the early darkness only reminds me of how long the winters are here. Coming all too fast!
Hugs. So glad that your weekend was lovely.

She is soooo photogenic!!! She is just beautiful and I have to say I love her cape thing. It is so cute. i think I must get mia one this year-- they are so precious. I agree it is getting dark so early. Yesterday Mia was outside eating a popcicle and I walked out and thought gosh it must be 7pm and it was only 5pm. I dislike the early evenings but love it when it cools down - not cool here yet-- uggg!!

Anyway, adorable pics!!

Hi Janet! Hmmm...I am thinking about the shirt with the reindeer face. I think I might cut out the reindeer face and some of the surrounding material (but only enough that it would lay flat). Then maybe get some cute coordinating Christmas material and make a pillow out of it for the holidays? If you can sew at all that would be a simple project, but if you can't, a little heat-n-bond would work well too! I posted a few months ago about making a pillow covering using no sewing, so if you need any help from that end, check it out! I can't wait to see what you do with it! :)

P.S. Here is a link to something I thought was so cute...and kind of gives you an idea of how you could put a pillow together with the reindeer shirt. :)
