True, it's not quite tennis weather here yet and we actually have about 4-5 inches of snow on the ground, but that did not stop Mr. Tennis from introducing Maddy to his favorite sport on the weekend. He actually hasn't played in a while because his hip was bothering him so much. He used to play at least twice a week and for a while there (in younger days) about 5-6 times a week! Anyway, now that the Rickster has a new hip, he decided it's time for Maddy to learn the in's and out's of the game. And . . . she really enjoyed hitting the ball and even picking up the tennis balls! He's reserved court time for them every Sunday and lessons start in March.
I tried to play tennis for a while since the Hub and boys all played. But, I could never get my serve in. Ok, truth be told, I liked the outfits better than the sport and liked doing drills much more than playing games! Somehow, I'm thinking that Miss M is going to be all about the outfits and accessories -- as she insisted on wearing a bracelet (see above) that I had received through the American Heart Assn Go Red for Women shop and is now calling it her "tennis" bracelet! :0
Think she had enough of the camera that day, don't you!

She is just too cute for words...love the last pic. She's so adorable with the 2 top teeth missing. Grace hasn't lost any yet and badly wants too!
Have a great week. :)
How cute of Rick to get Maddy in the tennis mix!!! And I love her definition of a "tennis bracelet"...too cute!!!
Maybe if we think really hard, spring will get here sooner!!!!
Looks like you will not only have a Mr. Tennis, but a Ms. Tennis too!! She is adorable....I can just see her in the little tennis outfits to match her "tennis bracelet".....she is a funny girl!!
Have a great day!

Oh how I love tennis but I too never was able to really do well. It's actually a joke that I had private lessons for years and never got beyond beginners, yikes! And we even had a tennis court growing up. :) I love that Mr. Tennis is doing this with Miss Maddy. Can't wait to see her in her full gear, accessories and all!
That last picture of her is hilarious.
Cute pictures! Maybe we will have to get Maddy and Carson on the tennis court together! I love her tennis bracelet too. Hurry up, Spring!
Tennis lessons sound fun!! I'm sure Maddy will love it! I'm with you, I like the outfits more than playing!!
She just gets more and more beautiful! Lily is doing things like that when she has had ENOUGH of the camera. Her latest is closing her eyes. Her timing is perfect. Grrrrr.
I use to play tennis in kindergarten..I still love it but never play anymore..what a cutie!

I was a competitive tennis player in my younger days, so I can dig your family's love of the game. Looks like Maddy is next!
I am surprised at how many little ones play tennis and with a pink racquet what little girl would not love to play.
My son loves to play with with my dad, I thought 6 was too young but he loves it.
What a cute little tennis player!! How sweet that she will be playing with her Dad- I think that is just perfect! Love her "Tennis" bracelet - he-he! Hope it warms up soon and that snow melts!
So cute! I love the outfults too. And little girls look so cute in them. Especially with their two front teeth missing ;)

I hope Mommy has her own sparkly tennis bracelet!!
aww so cute:) I am ready for some tennis weather myself!
too cute....we play tennis here too....have a court in our back yard....love it! ;)
Cute outfits and tennis bracelets!?! That is what the game is about, isn't it? Just kidding. Leila got into tennis with some lessons last summer and I think after a winter full of Wii tennis, will be more than ready to head back to the courts in the spring. I think it is great that Maddy will get private lessons from her Dad. You may need to start calling her Little Miss Tennis. She looks like a natural with the racquet.
She's a cutie and will be adorable in her sports attire (Mommy will buy her some cute clothes, I am sure)...
Have fun outside playing tennis (I was never very good at it either....).
