Sing Along -The Weather Outside Is . . .

Frightful!

Yes, the weather has been frightfully snowy and cold!! That manic drive home on Sunday was nothing compared to the dumping of snow and the Artic frost we've been enduring the last few days! Shocking -- the office closed early on Tuesday -- totally unheard of and school has been out for 3 days now! Luckily, my little red jeep gets us around pretty darn good. Mr. Tennis doesn't want to take his newish vehicle out in this snowy and icy weather, so he's put on a new hat and become Mr. Chauffeur! Really, you should see his hat -- it's something else. I'll try to sneak a photo some time. I do love home to office curbside service!

Luckily, the snowblower is working, even though it had to go in for a quick service call on Tuesday. The Rickster is one of those neighbors who likes to do everyone's front walk (yes, he is sweet like that). But, after he did that Tuesday afternoon and had just started on our long driveway, a belt blew! AAACK!! Off to Ace Hardware. I'm so happy that they were able to fix it. I did manually shovel the front steps and walk to the house and that was plenty for me!

If you thought I'd get some holiday baking or something useful accomplished during the snowstorm, you'd be wrong, unfortunately. I did do some Internet shopping, but am still a bit behind due to the bad weather. Think I will try some marathon shopping, baking and wrapping this weekend!

My updated wreaths and garland by the front door look even better with a bit of snow on them, so I guess there is a bright side to the snow!

Your front door is beautiful, especially with the snow! You guys should have snow more often!!

We have it too, along with the icky cold weather. I have also done some internet shopping! I just don't feel like braving the cold. Although I /we are feeling very penned in-we need to get out of this house soon!

Your home looks gorgeous in the snow - I wish we had snow. We just have rain here in Wales (even in August) so I'd love a white Christmas. Your little girl is adorable byy the way! Just stumbled across your blog and am now following. Having a give away on mine which ends tomorrow night - prize is for little girls!

Now... you know I live in the south when that snow looks delightful!! :) It has just been TOO warm here for Christmas. This is when I miss the northeast the most.

I hope you get some yummy baking done and your shopping finished. I'm having the same issues... and I don't have weather as a good excuse!! LOL

Your house looks great!!! The snow enhances the decor:) It is freeeezing here as well and as always I am not ready for it. But I guess it feels likes Christmas. ps - your Rick sounds like my Rich - who snowblows the entire block when it snows. Lucky us to have such nice husbands:)

Your house has LOTS of curbside appeal in the snow. Everything looks gorgeous! Ack about the shoveling: we don't have a snow blower (cuz we're cheap... oh, and it doesn't snow here often enough to justify it), but we have a long driveway (seriously - you can park at least six cars in our driveway). And usually I'm the one shoveling us out. Ugh. So yes, I truly DO feel your pain.
