It's Beginning to Look a Lot like Christmas!

Our very cold wintry temps
led to even more fun
over the weekend
when a snowstorm
breezed through town!
We ended up with about 6 inches
of the fluffy white-stuff!
It was not the kind of snow that
works for snowballs or
Olaf-inspired snowmen,
but so pretty!
Maddy and Muffy had a blast running around in the snow
while I shoveled our walk
and our neighbors' walk too.
Back in the dark ages when I was young,
when it snowed, we grabbed shovels
and headed out to make some cash
shoveling walks for people.
Nobody does that anymore -
so sad, the old
traditions that snowblowers have destroyed!
(and every other school-aged
kid in the city)
hoped for a snow day today.
I thought they might get one as the temp was
a lovely -6 this morning, but no
such luck!
Bundle up kids-
there's learning
to be done!  :)

Hooray for snow! I secretly love snow days if I can stay home! Cute pictures of M&M!

Wowza… you did get a lot! We just got a little spattering of it. Just enough to make roads a little "iffy". Love to see your pup walking in the snow! :)

Gorgeous snow pictures. The girls wanted a snow day too. Another blast of snow is heading through MI later today. Just in time to make our commute home from work interesting. If anything, all this cold weather has allowed us to get the ice rink up earlier this year. I just posted pictures of it on the blog this morning. Stay warm!

Maddy would love my school, we are on snow day #3. Our district covers the whole county which includes a lot of crazy back roads so we are out a lot. I have spent the day home today enjoying the snow.

Gorgeous! Also Maddy and Muffy sounds like it should be a children's book from the 50's. I would totally buy that book too.

We got a good snow storm yesterday. It was just what I needed!
