Hello February - Hello Snow Day!

Well, hello February!
You've got a tough act to follow after two weeks of
incredible January weather with temps in the 40s and 50s!
Way to start it off with an ice/snow storm dumping 8+ inches of snow
after some rain and ice first!

February is one my most favorite months as it is such
a nice, short winter month! :)
Also, my oldest son was born in February
and his daughter, my first grandchild, was also born
in February!

Maddy crawling around the yard playing with Muffy!
Miss Maddy got her wish - snow and a snow day off school!
Wet, heavy snow with a lovely under-layer of  thick ice
influenced the school administrators
to call for a snow day!
Driving is very hazardous!
Even my big red jeep was sliding!  Aaack!
Wind and bitter wind chills too!

I know that sneaky groundhog will have something to say
about winter and spring!

Still hoping the groundhog predicts an early spring!
Ever the optimist, right! :)

Beautiful pictures. We received 10 inches of new snow and had blizzard conditions until 6am. The girls and Chris are home, but my University is open. I'm at work. Now the sun is out and the wind is still. It's gorgeous. Happy February!

Beautiful photos!
Yay for snow days!
We got some snow as well, and my younger ones were looking forward to some outdoor play. Unfortunately, the negative wind chills are keeping that from happening! : )
Have a cozy evening!

My kids were hoping for a snow day, but instead they got a late start of 10AM. And darn that ground hog for seeing his shadow today. I was so hoping for an early spring.

Hooray for February. However, I would gladly take the spring-like temps back!

Love your pretty trees! We are hoping for another snow day tomorrow because of the freezing temperatures! Certainly, it's not safe for kids to be out in it!

How many more days until spring?!
