The Weather in Nebraska

I haven't really chatted with you about the weather

very much this winter, have I???

After learning that our very own Nebraska groundhog

predicted an early spring, I've been eagerly awaiting

sunny skies and warm temps!

I've been sorely disappointed! :( 

Usually in February, we have some really warm (for February) days. 

Not this year!

We've had frigid temps and more snow this month

than we've had the entire winter season!

AND -- even worse --- more ice!!

We had at least 2 inches of ice last night on top of 3 inches of snow!

The side streets are like a lovely, chunky ice rink and very slippery!

Guess what -- more snow is predicted 

for Saturday afternoon and evening!

I am not so patiently waiting for spring -- 

hope the weather is better where you live!

It's going to be a while yet before we see daffodils but we are

keeping the hope alive!

M&Ms For You and You and You and You . . .

As most of you know or have probably guessed,

I have a love/love relationship with chocolate.

I just love chocolate in nearly way, shape and form!

Dark chocolate is not my fave, but if there is nothing else available, it will do

in a pinch.  

If I don't have anything chocolate at home, I resort to semi-sweet

chocolate chips -- that's not bad, right??? 

Don't you all have a little chocolate in the morning with your coffee or tea to 

start the day right?  

Yes??  Me too!

M&Ms have always been a favorite of mine.  But seriously, doesn't everyone love

M&Ms in some flavor or another or all the flavors??

For her birthday last December, I had some special M&Ms

made up for Mads!

You pick the colors, the images and the sentiments!

They were almost too cute to eat!

Of course, I meant to share this ages ago! 

 A sweet reminder from an email from the M&M people nudged my memory bank!

Guess what -- they are having a special

Love Characters -- Even Cows!

As you may recall from prior Disney posts, we love Characters

and character photos.

And we love Chick-fil-A . . . a lot!

If they had a frequent customer list, we'd be at the top!

Recently, the Chick-Fil-A cow was out and about at

the store.

He was rather dressed up the first time we saw him!

I think Mr. Tennis has a similar shirt and bow tie!

We heard our local Chick-fil-A had an overnight for patron's stuffed 

animals.  They posted updates throughout the evening.

We wanted to attend with the littles, but they were too tired -- maybe next time!

Maddie and I thought it was such a hoot and we

saw this photo on FaceBook of the cow reading (we presume)

to the stuffed animals

We saw the cow again recently in his Hawaiian shirt -

he is reportedly taking a vacation to get away from the

cold weather!

Even though we aren't at Disney seeing some WDW

characters, we love seeing the Chick-fil-A cow!

P.S.  Big Congrats to the Philadelphia Eagles on their SuperBowl win!!

Happy Groundhog Day!

I usually don't celebrate this important day mainly because

the usual prediction is 6 more weeks of winter, and

who in their right mind would celebrate that news???

However, great news from Nebraska's own groundhog

known as Unadilla Bill!

Unadilla is a little town not far from Lincoln.

He did not see his shadow, so yay -- early spring predicted!

Pull out the flip flops friends -- you'll be wearing 'em before you know it!

Of course, it was only 8 degrees this morning - but no matter- 

Bill said early spring!!!

The news is that Punxsutwaney Phil saw his shadow today, 

so sorry Pennsylvania friends - you're stuck

with 6 more weeks of winter!
